This tincture was made using Estafiate/Western Mugwort leaves and Cane Alcohol. Estafiate/Western Mugwort aids in removal of a number of intestinal parasites including traveler’s diarrhea, pinworm infections, and other infestations. Supports liver function, increasing bile production and release. The herb has a cooling, antioxidant effect on liver cell function and can regulate liver enzyme levels. Supports the gastrointestinal tract. The plant’s gastric stimulation can largely be attributed to its bitterness, protecting gastrointestinal tract mucosa from the body’s own inflammatory responses.
Do not use Western Mugwort during pregnancy due to it's dilating effect on uterine vasculature. Due to the plant’s cholagogue properties do not use with an active biliary stone blockage. Mugwort may cause an allergic reaction in individuals sensitive to the Asteraceae/Compositae family (i.e. ragweed, marigolds, daisies).
